Sr. Electrical Engineer – San Jose, CA

Design, manage, and support the development and integration of electronics into surgical laser systems. The person will work closely with mechanical, optical and software engineers, vendors, and manufacturing engineering to provide the performance and reliability needed to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with and support other departments in developing new designs and sustaining current products.
- Design, layout, debugging, documentation, and release of electronics for new products.
- Manage and review work performed by other engineers and contractors.
- Assist manufacturing in resolving production related issues.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in electronics design.
- Ability to identify and resolve ESD issues.
- Knowledge of regulatory and testing agencies is a plus.
- Working knowledge of circuit board design and layout.
- General understanding of mechanical and thermal design.

Must be proficient in the use of SolidWorks for design
Must be proficient in the use of Cosmos for finite element analysis
Must have evidence of creativity in previous design projects
Must have hands on experience testing and verifying previous designs
Medical device and/or laser design experience a plus
Must have extensive theoretical knowledge of material properties and engineering principles
Familiarity with PDMWorks a plus
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
Must have solid experience as a contributing member of cross functional product development teams
Must have strong communication skills
Field Service Engineer – Boston, MA

Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades. Troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems on installed equipment. Support corporate Sales and Marketing activities. Communicate with customers concerning service agreements and billable services.
Requirements: AS or BS in laser optics/electronics or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 3 years field service experience with lasers and or electronic troubleshooting. Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively handle customers. Must be able to travel and lift 60 pounds. A valid driver’s license and adequate automobile insurance is necessary.
