Endostats are available with both tapered and ball tips, with
or without handpieces. The tapered tip fibers are available in
600 to 100 microns taper and are designed to be used in contact
with tissue. The tapered tip limits the amount of forward scatter,
making it the ideal fiber for use near sensitive structures. The
ball tip fiber provides increased lateral tissue effect compared
to tapered tip fibers. Available only in 1000 to 1200um size,
it is the fiber of choice when increased hemostasis is required.
